STATE OF THE ART LECTURE THEATRE OPENS AT LILLESHALL

Throughout 2009/10 Lilleshall National Sports Centre has benefitted from some significant investment projects worth circa £4M. One of the areas that has seen a complete refurbishment has been the Centre’s Lecture Theatre. This has been transformed into a superb facility able to seat 166 delegates, and is now state of the art and one of the finest facilities of its kind around!

With over £200,000 being invested in the new Lecture Theatre, it has new AV/IT presentation equipment, new seating, lighting, air conditioning/heating and new branded artwork covering the once bland walls. All of this put together makes this a very impressive conference & teaching environment for sporting and business users, whether they are members of the public, private companies or National Governing Bodies of Sport.

The state of the art AV/IT presentation equipment enables conference organisers to arrive with just their presentation on a memory stick or CD and deliver the presentation to their audience. The interactive screen allows the presenter to face the audience the entire time and, if required, make amendments, highlight key points and add notations without changing anything on their memory stick or CD. The equipment also has downloadable layouts of sports pitches/courts so coaches are able to discuss team tactics and formations, reminiscent of Andy Gray’s coverage on Sky TV.

Sir Geoff Hurst was here very recently with the Northern Premier Football League using the new facility for a media launch & large conference event. Alongside our other extensive conference and meeting area’s, the Lecture Theatre can be booked by any organisation and has been competitively priced to generate new interest, with preferential rates also available for National Governing Bodies of Sport.”
