Lilleshall Welcomes Back International Students from Japan

Last week saw the return of the Tokai University football team who had such a good time in 2008 that they decided to return to Lilleshall National Sports Centre this year as part of a training week with a member of the FA Coaching team. The week was a huge success and ended with the visitors attending a Premiership football fixture and also visiting the City of Manchester Stadium.



Tokai were not just here for the training though, they also played a couple of friendly fixtures against tough opposition. The University pupils and staff are so pleased with Lilleshall and how the two tours have been organised that there are plans to return every year and try and make more of an event of it by possibly organising some sort of tournament.

Lee Moore, Business Manager commented; “This was a fantastic booking for the Centre and I’m really proud of the team for the way in which this booking was secured and how everybody then got on board with looking after the Japanese Group so well. I feel confident that further overseas groups can also be attracted to the Centre.
