Lilleshall - Beijing Send Off for British Gymnasts

For the past couple of weeks the catering team at Lilleshall has been giving our Olympic British Gymnasts a taste of Beijing, with their own designated area in the dining room.

British Gymnastics have been a valuable asset to Lilleshall for many years and all the staff wanted to show their appreciation and also wish all of the Gymnasts who were attending the Olympic Games in Beijing the very best of luck.

The catering team, and most notably Head Chef, Paul Tinsley and Accommodation and Catering Manager, Tim Lloyd, have held a series of meeting with British Gymnastics staff members to devise a specialist menu plan for the Olympic squad competing in Beijing. Food and dietary requirements have been carefully planned, and even specialist scales and cooking utensils have been purchased seperately to ensure precision food portions are prepared.

Lee Moore, Business Manager, commented; “We have been working closely with all the Olympic sports based at Lilleshall to ensure that we deliver the best support possible. We are currently working with GB Archery to hold a bespoke Olympic archery shoot off tournament in the Centre’s gardens to match the set up that our Olympic Archers will have to experience in Beijing”
