Estonian FA Completely 'WOW'd at Lilleshall
On June the 21st Lilleshall welcomed the Estonia FA women’s national squad to Lilleshall for a week’s training camp. They could not have picked a better month to visit with the region experiencing a heat wave and some of the best weather the UK has to offer! It was the first time that the national team had ever experienced a week long training camp in a foreign country, and with a new coaching set up, they really enjoyed themselves and made the most of it.
"The Estonia Team in Training"
With the pitches in top condition the team managed to get in a good weeks training along with two friendly matches, one of which they lost, and to round their eventful week off they took a trip to Alton Towers that was organised by the Lilleshall reception team. Lilleshall staff were on hand to make sure they had everything they needed and this did not go un-noticed by the teams coaches, who wrote a two page letter of thanks to General Manager Lee Moore. (extract below)
“…On behalf of the Estonian Football Association, both myself and my associate Keith Boanas, would like to thank you for the hospitality of your staff at our recent stay at the Lilleshall National Sports Center for our residential Women’s Natinal Team Training Camp. The facilities were absolutely first class and the surrounding environment allowed us to get an enormous amount of work done without distraction...”
“…The professionallism of your office staff was absolutely superb and first rate, the food was tremendous as were the staff that served it. As a developing nation, the stay at Lilleshall will go a long way to changing the outlook and perspective of our senior national team players and help them to realize the kind of training environment, focus and attention that is needed to play international football. As well, I thoroughly enjoyed the complete dedication to excellence that Lilleshall and the staff there have…”
Lee Moore, General Manager commented; “I have to pay tribute to my team who bent over backwards to help the Estonian sqaud and make them feel welcome during their week long stay. In particular, Karen Turner and Alex Jackson (Bookings Managers) and Louise Williams (Receptionist) were specifically mentioned by name to me by the Estonian FA for providing the best level of customer service they had experienced in over 12 years of travel. Following the success of this visit, the Estonian FA are now looking to make the Lilleshall trip an annual feature within their sporting calendar.”
